Then you disagree with Jesus' own words in Matthew 24 & Mark 13. Read the scriptures brother Nikos.
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
If you do your homework and study it out you will find that "The abomination of desolation" happened during the fall of Jerusalem. And then the temple was destroyed, just as Jesus declared it would be in verse 2:
2 And Jesus said to them,
“Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

Wrong again Pastor Smoke!
The great tribulation will be the worst persecution ever. Matthew 24:21-22 records Christ describing the great tribulation:
"(21) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (22) And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matthew 24:21-22)
I think it's difficult for many of us to grasp how bad the persecution will be during the great tribulation.

The thing is, we can now look back at the history of the world and see it has been happening every since then. It only started then. That was the beginning.
Do you understand how many MILLIONs of folks have died?
It is hard for us to comprehend because it has not yet hit us. We suffer mild persecution from time to time.
But look at the history of Christianity and the world. Not just Christians, but also millions of hindus, budists, and others.
Why? In the name of one world religion.
And if you study the doctrine of islam you can see that their plan is to wipe out ALL other religions. They are powered by the spirit of anti-christ. Millions have already been beheaded and tortured and murdered in the name of their false god allah. Millions brother Nikos.
Destruction of Jerusalem= Great Tribulation
Birth and spreading of islam= Great Tribulation
7 Churches of Asia Minor= Great Tribulation
Atrocities committed by the catholic church against Christians= Great Tribulation
The Dark Ages= Great Tribulation
Syria today= Great Tribulation
Sri Lanka a couple weeks ago= Great Tribulation
We are right smack dab in the midst of the Great Tribulation!

Yes, it could get much worse. We agree on that. What I am trying to bring out is that it started around 70 A.D. and continues. Jesus said it was starting way back then.

Yes, if those are literal measurements of time. Being prophetic though, they may not be, or we are misunderstanding some point.

It is obvious that you are not a literalist.
