The Word went forth, in power. You may be done but He isn't. Some plant, some harvest, you were planting. Be of good cheer brother, nothing Spirit led returns unto Him void.

This church and so many others are caught up in idolizing the second greatest commandment while neglecting the first, God Himself. The blind leading the blind in happy procession crowding the ditch.
Sounds like what God told Hosea, "Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone." (Hosea 4:17). There is only so much you can (and even God) can do. If people are hardened into a position they can hire the best pastors and preachers in the world and nothing will change.

Hence, I completely understand what you meant by your mission being complete. God attempted to give that church another chance by sending you but they tossed that chance away. When God saw that they would not receive His Word through you then He gave you the release.

Amen VW, sometimes He will pull a hammer off the shelf to break up the stony heart(s) but it takes time for the heart to reach the head. The hammer often won't see the end result, it doesn't mean He wasn't working through the vessel.

You have seen things like this.

This surprised me. Such a friendly place and so concerned about mending relationships. Trouble is, they are dangerously lacking a fear of God, hence the obvious lack of wisdom. Bottom line: Idolatrous and adulterous. They worship the second greatest commandment while neglecting the First. It is a township hall that has a religious ceremony each Sunday and I was their chaplain. I believe this is an accurate definition of a social club.

This is what plagues our once great nation.
