So, the wife was talking to our daughter yesterday and mentioned the Keto diet. She had just done it and lost weight, but her Dr. got after her because of her cholesterol. I also have high cholesterol and was thinking what is the result of eating so much bacon and high cholesterol foods?
I will have to do some more research.

My cholesterol has never been hard on keto. It’s always been around the 160 range. Not to mention if you read a lot of recent studies, even cholesterol is turning out not to be the bad guy they once thought it was.

Do you have Netflix? Watch a documentary called 'The Magic Pill'. I just watched it last night. Really good.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

The cholesterol "numbers" have been shown to be useful as a sales aid for statins. We've had a lot of discussion on statins here, including personal experiences with them. I did them for awhile but they pretty much made me old (muscle pain, lethargy, etc.).

I think they changed me to a non-statin because it made me feel whacked out. Not sure what the name of it is.
I don't have netflix. Bummer!

Haven't watched the video yet, but a good keto substitute for crust is pork rinds. Just crush them up real fine. Dip in egg wash and then in rinds and fry or bake. I've done it one time and it was great. Your mind just kind of turns it into regular crust when you eat it.
I finally got back on keto and OMAD (one meal a day) on June 1st. Starting July 1st I started throwing some water fasting in, at least two days a week. Took off 40lbs in those two months since June 1st.
