Okay, gotta tell my true story again. I had a friend whose ministry was based on Philippians 3:14, which reads "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." His ministry was called "Toward the Mark." When he went to the P.O. for a P.O. Box assignment, you guessed it. He randomly was assigned P.O. Box 666. Not good.

Now that is funny!
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

It could be argued that the rapture and pre-tribulation rapture doctrines are rediscoveries of original doctrine that came with the development of the Pentecostal revival, just like the doctrine concerning the particular baptism in the Holy Spirit. The apparent absence of all those doctrines during 100-1800 or so doesn't necessarily say that much.

I assume the 'popular Bible' he is taking about is Dake's. He heavily promoted it.
This is a doctrine I've never been settled on. Nothing satisfies me. The group I was associated with for a long time doesn't believe in a pre-trib rapture (which included Dr. Michael Brown...and Michael Brown and Robert Morris in the second video are good friends). Just never had any of it just 'ring' with my spirit.

A literal milennium makes the least sense to me. I don't discount it but I see no point to it either.

Didn't listen to all of it but what I did seems accurate.
The Baptists and the AOG down here had pre-trib rapture as part of their doctrine so it influenced the majority of the church
I was saved in 1981 and rapture talk was everywhere.
My pastor either in 82 or 83 got up and preached that the pre-trib rapture was wrong and since I was a young believer I just accepted what he said.
Today I reject pre-trib rapture because I can't see it in the scriptures

Yeah, when I first got saved in 2000 I watched the Left behind movie and Thief in the Night and bought it. But then as I started studying the bible for myself they didn't make sense to me. I have not believed in the pre-trib/Left Behind rapture theory for a long time now. I thought I was pretty much alone here on that line of thinking. Great to see that I am not alone in this. Paul taught that we need to live every day like Jesus could show up.
I also feel that the birth and spread of islam and the holocaust are both somehow represented within the book of Revelation, but have not yet taken the time to study the world history beside the book of Revelation and try to see where they gel.
It would be a good study to do with a scholar type who knows the historical facts and figures well.

The irony in all this is that some believers now don't believe Jesus is returning at all or it won't be for centuries

Or this new surge across the internet, the revival of Preterism: Jesus already returned at the destruction of Jerusalem, the Devil is in the bottomless pit and things are getting better and better here on earth.
