I didn't know Robert Morris was against the pre-trib rapture doctrine. He has been one of my faves and one of the few TV preachers I will even watch.

He's the only megachurch preacher I've seen in a long time actually talk to his congregation about the baptism in the Holy Spirit and tongues. And I mean whole sermons. Don't care for his tithing teaching though, but he can't be right on everything.
Here is what I posted in the other thread where you brought it up:
I assume the 'popular Bible' he is taking about is Dake's. He heavily promoted it.
This is a doctrine I've never been settled on. Nothing satisfies me. The group I was associated with for a long time doesn't believe in a pre-trib rapture (which included Michael Brown...and Michael Brown and Robert Morris in the second video are good friends). Just never had any of it just 'ring' with my spirit.
I do know when Dr Brown brought this up at the church a few times that there were a few that talked about leaving just because he didn't believe in it.

Most of the people I knew over the years pretty much scoffed at the rapture altogether. I'm not sure they believed in a literal second coming either.

I think a literal second coming is pretty clear. Not so much the pre-trib rapture.

Those are the ones who will be surprised and get caught not watching. Jesus is coming back for His bride. He is appearing in flaming fire with His mighty angels. At that point we will spend the rest of eternity with Him.
I am starting a Wednesday night bible study using Dr. Brown and Keener's new book as the basis for it. Not sure how everyone will receive it. I know some who are already there with me, others still have the Left Behind doctrine set in their minds. I am hoping to at least get them to look at the scriptures without those glasses on and come to their own conclusions.

Of course we all know there will be a rapture. Even though Brown does not believe. However, even the most brilliant of scholars are wrong much of the time.
