ministry in Albania
During 2 weeks in January I have attended the Go Conferenz of OM ( Operation Mobilisation ) in Germany. That is the Conference where new missionaries get together and have some training. At the end of January I arrived in Durrres, Albania where I will stay for the next 2 years. I was warmly welcomed by a great team, some of them working for many years here.
I have an appartement for my own(due to age) and I have started to get it looking a bit nicer.
Since Albania is a warm county there are no built-in heating systems. I brought an electric heater with me, but I only heat the big kitchen up to about 16 degrees Celsius. The other rooms remain cold in the moment and unused. Yesterday in the morning it was snowing, but it looks like it will get warm this week.
Till now I am doing just little ministry. My main focus is on learning the language. I am also getting to know the city, cultural differences, shops, etc
The language is challenging and I seem to make only little progress. Fortunatly I have a wonderful lady as teacher.
If there is anything you like to know, please ask

I love OM! I'm so glad you're working with them. May God prosper your ministry there. Keep us up to date on your activities in Albania. They used to call it the most atheistic country in the world. Don't know if that's still true.
