    The Kingdom of God

The "Kingdom of God" is mentioned throughout the NT.
John the Baptist preached it (Mt 3:1-2).
    Jesus preached it (Mt 4:17).
After His resurrection, He spoke of it (Acts 1:3).
    Paul preached it (Acts 28:31).
Hebrews sums it up in one phrase: "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken (12:28).
And lastly, Revelation summarizes it in one statement: "Now... the kingdom of our God... have come (12:10).

What would be a clear meaning of the word "kingdom" and a clear definition of the phrase "the kingdom of God?"
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

It can be termed "where God rules in the hearts of his creatures completely". God is spirit and where his Spirit is in complete union with his creature, his kingdom rules. In the end its rule will extend to executing judgment on the disobedient.

So God's kingdom is where God rules sovereignly, according to an order which expresses His character, and in a realm where everything operates according to His nature.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

That makes it very much something different to an earthly kingdom with an earthly king. For the time being.

As a note, Mark and Luke use 'kingdom of God' where Matthew uses 'kingdom of heaven' in a lot of parallel verses. So those terms seem to be synonymous.
