Well, I'm thinking about doing the shark tooth dive sometime next week. I don't have a GoPro though. That one we used before belonged to my instructor in the video.
I got to go snorkeling this past December....looking forward to scuba diving again!!

OKay, Israel has some of the best reef diving in the world. Can we organize a dive weekend accompanied with about a week of touring Israel? There is a sunken missile boat in about 90 feet of water off a sandy beach in Eilat. There is a sunken submarine off the coast of Haifa. There is sunken treasure and several ancient ship wreaks off the coast of Caesarea. I'm ready to chip in a couple nights in a hippie hotel in Eilat for the first 6 takers. I'll even throw in some expert tour guiding by one of Israel's great tour guides. Can we make that a date?

No need to go that far to get some of the best diving in the world. The island of Bonaire has the best diving as far as I'm concerned. First, the entire island sits on a reef. You can walk into waste-deep water, put a snorkeling mask against your face, stick your head into the water, and see every fish imaginable, eel, sea turtles, sea urchins, squid, octopus, etc....you can see sharks a little ways off the island. We went to Bonaire to learn to scuba dive about 20 years ago, but our sinuses were messed up so we didn't want to risk not being able to equalize the pressure. But everything I just mentioned, we saw just snorkeling in a few feet of water. We didn't have to go find a wreck.

Check out this video if you want to see a lot of what we saw simply snorkeling (there were definitely some things we didn't see that are recorded in the video):The island of Bonaire has swept top honors receiving four #1 ratings,, while continuing its reign as one of the top diving destinations. For the 22nd consecutive year, Bonaire has taken first place for Best Shore Diving.
Bonaire received first place in three other Caribbean/Atlantic categories: Best Beginner diving, Best Advanced diving, Best Macro Diving. It also received second place ratings in the categories of Best Underwater Photography and Best Overall Diving.
No question, Bonaire is awesome. It's on my bucket list. PADI lists it in the top 10 of their dive destinations.
