    Survivor: Millenials vs. GenX

I don't know if there are any other Survivor fans on the Forum but there's been so much in the news about the Millenials not having any coping skills. It's been an interesting watch.

First, the oldest GenX was 52 and I'm thinking, when did GenX get so old??? Most of the others are in their 40s, but still... lol

Now millenials... in their 20s to early 30s... there was even a high school student for the first time.

I was born toward the end of the Boomer generation, and my youngest sister, born in '63 is just on the cusp of Boomer and GenX, but definitely has the Boomer mindset.

My kids are on the cusp of GenX and Millenial, but have strong work ethics and reflect more of a GenX than Millenial mindset, and my daughter, being a strong Christian, believes in discipline and getting kids to do what their told.

Anyhow, wondering if anyone else is watching this season and what do you think about it?

I've caught some of the episodes and it is pretty interesting, at least they wised up and voted off the guy who thought it was fine to keep stealing everyone's food.

AJ, do you remember the guy who fell into the fire a few years ago? He's been in the local news here and just got convicted for child porn:

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WJBK) - A former reality TV star is now a convicted felon.

Michael Skupin was found guilty on four of six counts of possession of child pornography Friday.

Skupin, a star on Survivor, went to trial Thursday. Today he took the stand and a few hours later a jury found him guilty.

When Skupin was on Survivor he was a religious person and led the tribes in Christian prayer. He then made money as a Christian motivational speaker. The Attorney General's office had him under surveillance and confiscated his computers, later finding child pornography on them. Now he's been found guilty...

Oh. My. Gosh. Yes. I do remember him. This child porn thing is absolutely insidious. I'm really grateful God is exposing it, but at the same time, what the HE** are Christian men thinking! Time for some serious deliverance ministry in churches...

Just recently, Lance Wallnau made a comment on one of his Live Videos that we can tell that the North American Church no longer believes in deliverance by the excessive use of mood altering pharmaceuticals... That most of these people could use a good old fashioned deliverance session. And then of course there's porn, child porn and general drug and alcohol abuse.

We had a young woman in our congregation a few years ago who was with the RCMP detachment in our city. One of the things that upset her the most was being on duty and going to domestic disturbance calls and then coming to church on Sunday and having to worship with the very same people who were drinking and beating their wives and kids and the women who stayed in those relationships. She had a REALLY hard time with that.

People need a REAL, LIFE CHANGING ENCOUNTER with the Lord, THE LORD, Jesus Christ.

My feeling is that people fitting the various labels are portrayed as much worse than what they often are, making the labelling and the descriptions belonging to each label a form of negative gossiping. In a way people are told to conform to what their label tells them they are like, as if they should be like that.
