At Bible school in 90/91 they taught tithing. I was a student living at home so I didn't give it much thought. While discussing all sorts of topics on Christian forums from 1996 I came to the conclusion that it wasn't new covenant. So I suppose those threads took me from "who knows" to "nope". The funny thing is that the pastor and that church changed their view some time later. They think like me "pay your tithe if you want just don't teach it to others as a law".

I voted yes. The tithing threads have changed my beliefs, but not from one extreme to another. They have shaped my beliefs, though not about tithing.
Other forms of teaching, sharing, and learning besides forum threads did change my beliefs about tithing.

Nope. My beliefs about mandatory tithing for NT Believers has not changed since the late 90s.
No, my beliefs about God directed, Jesus instructed tithing is more entrenched into my beliefism than ever before.
Slightly in that I do view it more now from a 'faith' perspective and not a 'mandatory' perspective.
So I agree with Papa that it has helped shape my belief and also with Nikos that due to this slight shift it is far more entrenched than before.
Side not...I don't believe any discussion ever ends without some change even if that change is only to solidify..That's why I have no problem with repeating discussions..each one is a fresh opportunity to learn and grow and/or change.
