..... sigh.... my bedtime has gotten later and later... the last little while I've been going to bed at 2:30-3AM and sleeping till 10. I really only need about 7 hrs a night, the problem is being able to fall asleep.
I've actually just started setting my phone alarm for 10PM as a reminder to do my bed time chores (feed my dogs, take my meds, etc) so that when my 12:01AM alarm goes off, I can go to bed. I've only just had a couple of evenings of doing this and I shut off the alarms and didn't follow through. I will try again tonight, as I have open and lock-up duty at church tomorrow, so must be in the city by 8AM. I do NOT like doing that!!!
Night owl. That's me.

That pretty much describes me too tho I can usually fall asleep within a few minutes. I have a small fan on my bed stand that I always turn on for white noise and I usually use the sleep timer on my TV too.

count me in the Night Owl Community. I used to joke if I saw sunrise it's because I'm still up from the night before.
I've always been like that.. which make it AWFUL having to get up early to work!
Now, I'm never down before midnight.. unless it's a nap in a boring tv show. (Fuego, I'm like your wife.. I can sleep any where, any time. Easy Peasy.

...Or getting kids up for school!
For awhile, we had early morning prayer at our church at 5AM. I told the leader that it was easier for me to stay up all night to get there than it was to go to bed, try to get to sleep and then get up at 3AM to get ready for my day and drive the 25 miles in.
Those were some tough mornings because I then had my Tues AM prayer meeting to lead. I went to a friend's house in between and slept for a couple hours.

Ladies,
It's not healthy for you to be staying up so late. You need to train your mind and body to go sleep by midnight. You will feel better the next day and be more productive. I have to get use to different times zones so I take 1mg of melatonin. It helps.
Sometimes if I drink coffee too late &/or i'm struggling to wind down, I take just a 1/2 of a sleeping pill. The directions will tell you to take 2. If you take 2, you'll feel groggy the next day. Just a 1/2 of one with a 1/2 dosage of melatonin works great

Do you really think we haven't tried to go to bed earlier? With and without some type of sleep aid/medication? Being a night owl isn't a choice. I personally believe it's a natural rhythm of the body.
