When I was young I didn't wear jeans, as my mom didn't like them. When I was in high school, she let me get a couple of pairs of "wheats" though. After I was married, I bought a couple of pairs of bell bottoms at a thrift store and wore them now and then. That was in the 70's. I started wearing them daily in the 8o's as I had a blue collar job and my polyester pants were getting snagged all the time.

Now at 65 I have been wearing jeans almost exclusively for over 25 years. I have some dress pants I used to wear for church and funerals, but they aren't comfortable. Now, I keep a pair of very dark indigo for dress with a nice top.

Long story short, I'm a jeans and tee shirt Grammy every day. I wear sweats or shorts for my "evening wear" at home.

GĂȘnes, the French word for Genoa, may be the origin of the word "jeans". In Nimes, weavers tried to reproduce jean but instead developed a similar twill fabric that became known as denim, from de Nimes, meaning "from Nimes".

I am not sure if it is true or not, but I have heard that the prophetesses of Canada almost all wear Jeans.

    Just kidding.

I can't remember the last time I wore jeans.

they never, ever fit right, even when I bought them in the "Boys Dept"

Now that I've been introduced to leggings, I wear them a lot.. but mostly dresses.

Me too. I've got some very dark jeans as well as a couple pair of black jeans too.
