Thread: Meet Cooper!

    Meet Cooper!

My wife is allergic to animals so one of the few dogs she can have near her for any amount of time is the poodle breed. We've had a few through the decades, including the toy poodle "Prince". Incredible dog that I trained to hunt. We both wanted to avoid the small dogs and mixed (Murphy was incorrigible, far too independant).

So our friends in Gaylord have a little business breeding standard poodles and had 4 remaining from a 9wk old litter. They gave us a great deal and set us up.

    Here is Cooper:

What a sweetie, going to train him to hunt too?

Not sure if you ever talked about Murphy, what kind of mixed breed was he?

Murphy was the golden doodle. He was probably a heavy 5 on the puppy aptitude. He was not trainable. Had a bad experience with the neighbors cat and thereafter wouldn't go outside and ran the block when I took him out. Had to rehome. No more little dogs for us.

Cooper is doing well in potty training and has learned little tricks. He is a hoot. Little chunker when comparing to miniatures.

He has added a cloud of joy on our home. Today I gave him an ice cube and watched with laughter. He is fun to play with.
