I was thinking the same thing! Talk about hijacking a thread! And it began immediately!

A photo of Evangelist Tommy Hicks preaching in Argentina in 1954 to crowds of 400000. It was a genuine revival with millions hearing the gospel which shook the nation.

I was given a large photo of him about 1996 (not the above) by a elderly Christian lady who went to his meetings in our city in the late 1950's. She was filled with the HS and said he had a powerful anointing.

10 years later a Argentine pastor and his wife ministered in our city and I brought my photo. As soon as the pastor's wife saw it her eyes lit up as she recognised Tommy Hicks.
Their church has a museum and collects artefacts about the revival so I donated my photo as a gift which she really appreciated.

Only regret was not taking a copy of my picture to keep.

William Branham had a powerful and inspiring ministry. I've read a lot of his sermons and booklets.

I guess if there was any one big take away it would be the time he spent with God, alone in special places. His public ministry was the fruit of his private/prayer time with the Lord. He had some amazing insights.

    He still has many followers.

I have a good friend and brother in our church group that told me 2 years ago (knowing I was pentecostal) that he was given a bag full of cassette tapes of Branham’s meetings. He was given them long ago by an older brother that water baptized him. He says he still listens to them. I am searching my book collection for “A Man Sent From God” because he hasnt read it.

The tapes are quite inspiring. Try to borrow one.

I'm not a Branhamite BTW, although there is such a group, I was just interested in his relationship with God. He really had a folksy mannerism and what I would call the gift of gab, how he could put things together was either complete genius or inspired, I think a bit of both. A truly gifted man.
