So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Groceries! I'm sensing the anointing for Groceries, call now to have your needs met!

If all that giving works, how come they are always receiving?

It's more blessed to give than to receive.

That would be nice. People can say what they will about Oprah Winfrey, but she’s the only host of a program that gave away more expensive gifts to audience members as well as built a school for underprivileged girls, and houses for people hit with disaster like Katrina.
I do know of a couple of ministries that do similar work in the area of missions and charities but don’t advertise their philanthropy. They give millions on a yearly basis.
I wouldn’t spend $25,000 a night for a hotel even if I could afford it...I don’t need nor desire that kind of luxury...I’d be content with a $1000 a night hotel if that was something I could afford on vacation. But that’s me, I won’t criticize others if that’s what they want and it’s their own money being spent.

Thing is I don't think many know just how over the top the lifestyles are. Living well sounds good and most of us want that for ourselves and others but $5,000.00 a night rooms, thousand dollar bottles of wine, airplane fleets ... greed is good I suppose.
Did Solomon live extravagantly? Did Abraham (the Bible says he was "very rich")? Who decides what's extravagant?

We know that king Solomon lived extravagantly and it was at the expense of his people. God warned them through the prophet Samuel about this before there were any kings and they still accepted it :
1 Sam 8:10 So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who asked him for a king. 11 And he said, “This will be the behavior of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for his own chariots and to be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots. 12 He will appoint captains over his thousands and captains over his fifties, will set some to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and some to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers, cooks, and bakers. 14 And he will take the best of your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, and give them to his servants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and your vintage, and give it to his officers and servants. 16 And he will take your male servants, your female servants, your finest young men,[a] and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17 He will take a tenth of your sheep. And you will be his servants. 18 And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the Lord will not hear you in that day.”
The reason why was that they would rather have that than God as their king :
1 Sam 10:19 But you have today rejected your God, who Himself saved you from all your adversities and your tribulations; and you have said to Him, ‘No, set a king over us!’ Now therefore, present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and by your clans.”
We know that Abraham was rich and was a patriarch and warlord for a large number of people but we don't know much about his lifestyle, it may not have been particularly excessive. He lived in tents.

According to the passage I quoted he does remind me of some high profile ministers that beg on television or receive tithes, some of which goes to high salaries or benefits or lavish arrangements.

Yeah Sis. - But he didn't ask for it - God told him that because he only asked Him for wisdom, he was gonna bless him abundantly.
