I see no evidence that everyone was healed in any place in the book of Acts. That seems to have been a characteristic of the ministry of Jesus, with the exception of his hometown. The apostles couldn't get everyone delivered when Jesus was still around, they probably still couldn't when he wasn't around. Their piggybacking on Jesus' anointing in the gospels must have been an easier task than finding the anointing through the Holy Spirit after his resurrection.

Did you read my post? I said there is in Acts 5. You need to read your Bible a little closer. :)

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

And therein is our scriptural proof that they can be ALL healed under the ministries that followed Jesus and not just under Jesus' ministry. I like to use that scripture when people say 'well they were all healed under Jesus' ministry, but I don't think they can be today.'

I appreciate you opinion there in that post, but it's not scriptural.

You're right, it applies to 5:16 but not necessarily to the preceding verses. The Norwegian translation is a bit more restrained and suggests that a group of people (not as large as "a multitude" suggests) from outside of Jerusalem brought sick and demon possessed people and among those people, all were healed.

Of course it CAN happen that ALL are healed, there just isn't much evidence that it happened a lot in the book of Acts. In the gospels it seems that it happened all the time except in Jesus' hometown. At least when Jesus himself was present.

So if it was only 'many' of them the devil came out of and not all of them, then Jesus didn't deliver all of them. That isn't true, he did. They way you're reading it, it also implies that Jesus didn't heal all the paralyzed and lame people.

Now let's look at it different based on what I just said, because what I just said has to be true. What it could be saying is that there were many that were possessed there, and the ones that were possessed, the devils came out of them. There were also many paralyzed and lame. They all got healed. It's not saying that there were a lot of possessed people and sick people, and that 'many' not all of them were set free. That's how you seem to be reading it.

If I totally misunderstood what you were saying or trying to say there, never mind.
    Exactly!

But if you remember correctly, Jesus told them why they couldn't heal/deliver, and then how to deal with that issue. The issue was UNBELIEF, which needs to be dealt with by prayer and fasting.

Some times this is lacking :

Luke 5:17 And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

It starts with this of course :

Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

And that is why we have the same Spirit that rose Christ from the grave living inside of us.

    Bingo.

But Colonel doesn't believe fasting has any significance 'today'. So he can't use that to deal with any unbelief he has. :)
