    "You're not a muslim ?"

I'm currently in Cardiff, Wales. This afternoon I went to pick up my rental car at the airport in London and while I was saying hi to the young lady at the counter, the power to work miracles displays the glory of God in my whole person like wham and it lasts for long enough that she is looking straight at it for a while. The result is that she goes crazy and instead of trying to promote the gospel or something I find myself in the role of a store clerk explaining what the items are and where they are found. She looks like she is about 20 and from the middle east so I ask her if she has a muslim background, Nope, she is Lebanese with a nominal Christian background. "Are you disappointed ?", she asks and I reply no. So she gets saved and baptized in the Spirit and decides that she doesnt need to repent from any specific sins, she is a quite moral person who lives with her parents and doesnt sleep with anyone. She also has friends who go to a local Charismatic church. She is smiling from ear to ear because now she is happy for real. So what happened here ? Well she obviously knew approximately what to do if she was convinced that it was indeed real. It didnt take that much explaining. There were no healing miracles. Everyone does not need that, at least not of the kind that is overwhelmingly convincing. But it worked the same way. But my question for you is the following : if the Lord had decided to use you in that way and then have you follow up on it, would you be able to handle that ?

    Great testimony.

And I certainly hope I could. I've never led a total stranger to Jesus outside of the church.

Whether it would happen once or a hundred times, being consecrated for such a task is for everyone whether they have this gift or that gift. It is within the ministry of the believer, we're not (hypothetically) talking about planting churches in Afghanistan or something like that.

I agree, great testimony but what did you mean by she went crazy?

Hard to describe. She became sort of oblivious to her surroundings as if she was following me in that task. As if she had found a great treasure and decided on the spot to disregard what other people thought or would think of it. I've seen that happen before but she was very animated, that could have been her personality.

Sounds like the Holy Spirit opened the door supernaturally because her heart was seeking...she was fertile ground...

Sometimes he does that sort of thing because he knows that it will bear great fruit. Some of the people that have had encounters like that have callings, some of them in their countries or areas or towards their population groups. But not necessarily all of them have that. Sometimes it is a simple matter of that approach working where the other approaches all result in "close but no cigar".

There is a time for everything but I would rather rely on a demonstration of Spirit and/or a demonstration of power than on my ability to enable the unsaved person to pass an exam in general theology the next day.
