    1-800-prophet

In 1998 I read an article in Charisma magazine about a prophet from New York city. As I read the article I realized this minister had fallen away from truth and was in serious error. Although I realized this guy was going off the rails I was in a desperate state of not knowing the will of God for my future. In the article this prophet's phone number was given. It was something like 1-800-prophet. The thought came into my mind (not from God) to call that number for some direction in your life ! As I was thinking this thought over in my mind I “suddenly” heard the voice of God in my spirit ! He said very clearly in a very loving but stern voice; “2 Kings chapter 1!” I knew this was not going to be good for me even thinking about calling a false prophet for counsel. This scripture verse jumped off the page at me! "Verse 6. But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?" That man's ministry had fallen into giving false prophecies through a familiar similar of divination, and God does not want any believer to get information from familiar spirits. If you need direction God can speak directly to you! There are also true prophets that can give confirming and correction Words from the Lord!

The prophetic movement needs to be overhauled.
Was there any high profile prophet who predicted the massacre in Paris today

The church needs all their tables overturned and Jesus to come like a refining fire

God's Word teaches of increasing darkness during the last of the last daze... so no prophet would be needed to know more attacks are coming.

The muslims are probably hold off on attacking the US again (in a large scale attack, not the numerous smaller ones we have already seen) until obama leaves office since he certainly appears to be advocating for them as much as he can without outing himself as a muslim.

I don't even see any reason for a New Testament prophet to even "predict" (I don't like that word) things of this sort. (Paris attack).

There was a famine foretold in the N.T. because it would directly affect he Church.

But no warnings of any kind concerning attacks, or wars, or any such thing.

Children of God should be led be the Spirit of God, by the Inward Witness.

    Daily.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

You might want consider laying off of all of the "doom and gloom" like darkness is overtaking light or something.

    Not gonna happen.

We must remember God's purpose for delaying His return...

    James 5:7
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

    Isaiah 60:1-2
    (1) Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
    (2) For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

There is going to be one doozy of a revival (Harvest) like this world has never seen, before we're outta here.

Yes, those who walk in darkness will go darker still, BUT GOD will arise and be seen among His people.

If they will hear and will obey.

    You can bank on that.

I agree with you about the current 'predict' stuff...its centered around the ego of the prophetic movement

IMO true prophetic voices should rise up to warn people about bombings and other things

You might want to check out what the Bible says about what is about to come upon the earth! Before long, a few Billion people are going to be wiped out. It's called the great tribulation... maybe you have heard of it. God's Word teaches it, so it's gonna happen whether you believe or not.

It's not getting any better out there and is fact is getting worse, and Christians should be using this as an opening to teach people that a personal relationship with Jesus is the only way to safety.

Jesus even said they would cry peace, peace... but there is not going to be any peace in this world.

    Luke 21:36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
