I think they sold the new building to the city or something. It was never meant to replace the original sanctuary. They just needed more overflow, space, etc.

Are you sure? I clearly remember them saying that they were building a new sanctuary

There has not been anything close to it since in size, scope and more importantly, anointing. Lives were dramatically changed. The reason why it "fell apart" I gave above. It fell apart from the inside, the Dove lifted and crowds began to dwell as a result.

I was part of a chat room in those days. The publishing family (Destiny Image) of Don Nori and son Jon began the Revival Cafe where if you couldnt attend, you chatted. The passion for Jesus was intense. I made several friends, one of which I still have on facebook. I followed what happened very closely. The administration requirements forced on Doc Brown an and Dick Reuben had a wedge driven into the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry.

Thanks for sharing from a first hand perspective.

So you are saying the AoG wanted to bring the whole revival and leadership under their denomination, which caused the split in the leadership?

    Do I understand you correctly?

That is correct. I had read several articles including quotes from Dr Brown. Fuego was enrolled in the BRSM at the time, his comments above reflect this. Pastor Kilpatrick was caught in the middle and had to choose whether the entire staff be brought under A/G credentials. Here we have another case of administration being more important than the leading of the Holy Spirit. Personally, it is my suspicion that bitter envy and selfish ambition was prevalent and bringing the chaos that James 3:16 warns. Let's face it, pastors lust after power and fame, wanting the biggest and best. The Brownsville Revival was a time of "severe grace" that caused the church staff to carefully pay attention to the leading of tbe Holy Spirit. John, Steve, Lindell, Richard, Michael and Dick had much to say in the books they had written.

I have a Steve Hill CD, "White Hot Revival" that I found at a garage sale. Awesome anointed poems and songs.

Totally sure. It was a new sanctuary, but it wasn't meant to replace the original one. It was mainly overflow and also they used it as the main sanctuary while the original one was having some renovation done to it. It is now Brownsville Community Center.

I was just looking at a satellite pic of the property and it looks like they sold another part of the church too, a smaller maybe original sanctuary. It is now Transformation Church.

So, as usual, people decided to try to 'manage' it...so if we looked at each revival and boil it down we could say PEOPLE getting in God's way..
