We read two entirely different things, then. They specifically talk about Jesus not being violent.
They are misunderstanding what the years ahead actually look like. Matter of fact, they sound exactly like Chris Vallotton and others in the Renewel Movement, because that's exatly the verbiage they use as well. Quest, I go to Church with people that use this sort of language, so I do know what I'm talking about in that regard.
Jesus will be so violent, the the streets will run with blood upon his return (that is what the term, "treading the winepress" hints at). He is releasing judgements on the earth because of man's manipulation of God's creation, namely, man (animals too, but that's a whole other thing). When God created man, he put boundaries up with regard to one species only being able to replicate itself by declaring that his creation would "produce after it's own kind". In this hour, "science", being lead by demon spirits, has been genetically modifying plants, animals, and mankind. So what God will be judging is an "enhanced" man that is beyond redemption, because he will no longer be "human" as you and I understand. Scientists that have been working on this technology readilty admit this. Do you see? This understanding as it concerns end times theology, is missed by about 99% of the world's Christians, much less apply it to the Word.
That is what people do not understand. The obscure passages in the Book of Revelation and Daniel speak about this specifically, but no one put the pieces together because the science and technology didn't exist until more recently.
Jesus will be judging this as it climaxes in upcoming years....and again....those that embrace an end times theology that avoids this understanding, will not understand why God is "so angry", and as I said before, *who* and *what* God is judging.
