And now for something completely different--Gold dust, feathers and other manifestations
There's a thread on FB that I thought might make a good discussion here
I really haven't heard too much lately about all that...the last time I really heard that being talked about was during the Lakeland Outpouring (that was ten years ago, wow!) Has anyone here seen all that going on currently? I may be wrong, but I don't think the "climate" for that is here now. I also haven't heard about any major revivals currently, but then again I am in a spiritual climate/church now that doesn't follow all that...

Gold dust ? Ask wheeze, he experiences that often. Other manifestations ? That's a rather encompassing category. Glory clouds in the ceiling at Bethel comes to mind. Mass slayings in the Spirit are seen in several different videos posted here lately.

As far as I know, it's still happening with some speakers/ministries... can't think of names right now.

Is the 'climate' due to many churches not wanting it ...even amongst pentes the 'spiritual manifestations' are not as embraced as the past

I think in certain churches it still happens, like Bethel and those who are in the "revival alliance" churches...not so much in traditional pente churches...
other charismatic churches? I dunno. One person on the FB thread says to not seek after the manifestations but God can move however He wants, which I agree. But to "expect" stuff to happen? I don't think we should. I remember seeing that movie that came out around the time of Lakeland, by that Darren (can't remember his last mane) guy made, about manifestations and stuff, where he talked with Bill Johnson, Heidi Baker and others. I know he made other movies since then, but I wonder if the "interest" about all that has waned?

I’ve always wondered why critics say that stuff? Maybe they need something like that. Or when the thing about emotions comes up, they cry about things getting out of order and turning an eye away from their disorder of bitterness, carnal living in their midst. I think what some churches need is a little godly disorder.
Dont get me started.

It's the critical spirit run amok. I have realized that some conservative groups have a theological operative called: HARDLINE REJECTION SYNDROME: If a phenomenon it's not explicitly stated as a Bible INSTANCE, attack it with extreme prejudice and vitriol. Talking donkeys acceptable. Gold dust - no way.
