They have a general Modus Operandi

It might amount to strongholds they have gained in the mind or heart of the person they inhabit. If they come against you from the spiritual realm then I'm not so sure. It's not like they were created to be specifically unclean or lying etc and they are all thoroughly evil.

They do seem to relate to locations however. What the Bible calls a familiar spirit is likely to have been around a specific location and observed certain people or families for centuries, thereby gaining enough information to impersonate dead people and make themselves interesting in conversation.

I suppose those terms are descriptive of phenomena but if demons are capable of speaking then I'm quite sure that they are also capable of showing more than one trait.

Demons are capable of speaking bro and do. These principalities have many traits and interact with one another to further the kingdom of (s)atan. They love to put on a show including spitting, throwing up, hitting, and growling as well.

I remember being attacked by one that made me feel overwhelmingly down just I didn't let that feeling get to me. The strange thing was that as it left that emotion disappeared within a split second. Maybe even instantaneously. Meaning I went from feeling really bad to feeling totally normal instantly. That's faster than my feelings are able to change on their own so that was nothing but spiritually induced.

I never take one for granted but I also never allow fear to come into me. I never will allow one to talk nor would I "interview" one. I always bind them in the Holy Spirit and do not allow them to demonstrate putting on a act... ...

Quite frequently. In normal conversation as well as in preaching. Problem is, most of these twisters take place for two main reasons. People try to carry on a conversation while they text line 2-3 people and will only hear you say what they want you to say. Second, some are hearing impaired and well, that one can get interesting while you preach.

One of our esteemed preachers here in the Mich Dist A/G published a book on Leviathan. The one point I recall best is that when you have escaped the jaws through spiritual warfare, dont forget to duck. When Leviathan turns away it is the clue that the tail is coming at you soon.
