Tongues and spontaneous burst of English

Not always but sometimes when I SIT I may have a burst of english words before thinking and it happened yesterday.

Suddenly I was saying Yes Sir, Yes Sir ....Yes Sir, Yes Sir......Yes Sir, Yes Sir......Yes Sir, Yes Sir

It felt similar but different to previous times and more authoritative.
My spirit was obeying God and addressing him like a Commander.

I don't know at this point what my spirit was responding about but when God speaks I better obey

That sounds more like an interpretation of the previous tongues. Which could amount to a response to them rather than a translation of them.

2 messages I have heard clearly in my Spirit Sunday and yesterday....Can't make a deal with the devil, and as I listened the Lord said so many have cut a deal for personal 'peace' and have left the battle...then a friend called yesterday and shared a word she had heard and given to a pastor...CONQUER....leave passivity and CONQUER...

Your words above ring loud ad clear to me...

ON TOPIC...yes, sometimes when praying in tongues because I listen expectantly for the interpretation...sometimes I ask and know the Spirit is not going to reveal...and that's ok too...but when in intercession I pray in the Spirit and will hear commands or declarations to be spoken into the spirit realm...and from time to time tongues led me to a place of being humbled and broken..and filled with worship...a response..

Sounds like, as you noted, a call to be at attention, alert...expectant...submissive...follow up as this comes clearer to you...?

Joshua 5:13 - And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?"
v14 - So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord say to His servant?"
v15 - Then the Commander of the LORD's army said to Joshua, "Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy." And Joshua did so.
