That's more than "a decision, a verdict". And the chastening based on what Joseph Prince calls "a decision, a verdict" resulted in weakness, sickness and premature death. According to 1 Cor 11:32 that was better than their continuing to where they would eventually be condemned with the world.
    You apparently missed this part

1Co 11:32 When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
Paul's Paraphrase: When we renew our minds and learn to discern what is from the Lord and what is not, we are trained up and no longer suffer sin's effects. Unlike those who reject the grace of God revealed in Jesus, we can live free from sickness and condemnation.

I'd say that that is a clever way of rewriting the passage so that it fits someone's theology. Joseph Prince can be very clever, there are of course better examples of that, for instance his reconstruction of 1 John 1-2.

Ahem actually Joseph Prince didn't write that part .. the blog writer did but hey if you want to believe that God is in the business of Killing people and making people sick because they failed to partake in communion properly , Have at it .

I tend to believe that failure to discern and employ communion as a weapon against the enemy is what keeps people sick and dying prematurely

I didn't say that. I believe that the anointing over the Corinthian church kept sickness at bay but their living in the mentioned sin brought them out of that anointing. Sickness and premature death was rampant at that time so they were basically just being exposed to the elements.

I declare...I have not read through the thread...my thought is that the church today is essentially powerless...The apostles operated in a level of authority that we rarely, if ever, see today....
