    Prophetic- Hearing God's Voice !

When I first was Baptized in the Holy Spirt many years ago the Word Of (God's) Knowledge began to operate strongly in me. I would "know" supernaturally about persons, places, and things that otherwise I would not be able to have knowledge about in the natural. One time at the beginning of a Wednesday night service the Holy Spirit spoke clearly these Words about a couple sitting right in front of me in church. The Holy Spirit said, "They defraud insurance companies for money!" What ? They are tongue talking Bible toting Christians. I believe they may have been actually planning their next insurance scam that night and it was carried off in a few days. The woman came to church on Sunday with fresh bandages and told me of her new "accident" in a business which she was going to sue for damages. Wow. God is not pleased with that kind of stuff and he may out you if you try it as Christian. I never told anyone this and both of them are now dead. But someone did actually tell me years later that this couple made quite a bit of money this way... Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

You don't think there was a reason for Him telling you other than just for info purposes? Like maybe confront them privately?

The private confrontations came later with others. I did not feel I had to do anything with that and really did not ask. The lady never did like me after that time though.

The gifts of the Spirit operate for the benefit of others so that is strange. Okay, maybe I can prophecy or interpret tongues to myself but then the message is for me and not simply about others.

The beginning of the Gifts of the Spirit. I really did not know what to do, but I sensed not to say anything. About 4 years ago I was sitting behind a lady in church. I heard the Lord say to me, "she is suicidal." That time I asked the Lord what do I do ? Do you want me to say something to her ? He told me to wait and say nothing now but that I would be ministering to her in the future. The next week came and she came forward for prayer ( we were altar workers) and we did minister to her. She received supernatural help. The first words out of her mouth were, "I was suicidal last week." We told her we knew that and ministered to her.

That makes sense. Sometimes information like that may help to complete a larger picture and isn't readily applicable but it's never for own entertainment (like some people seem to think) or merely as a training ground. That would be like laying hands on a chair and feel the power of God go into it and do nothing, just to "learn" something from that.

Elisha received knowledge revealed by the Lord concerning Gehazi's secret sin (2 Kings 5:20-27).

I've never operated in the word of knowledge, but I saw an evangelist who did.
He called all those in the meeting who wanted to be delivered from nicotine.
Several came forward for prayer to be set free from smoking.
The preacher waited a couple more minutes and than said, "There is man here who wants to be included this prayer but is ashamed to come up to the platform."

He than left the pulpit, walked down to the 9th row of that meeting and began scanning the crowd.
He than pointed to a man towards the back end of that row and said, sir, no need to be shy, God loves you and wants to free you from nicotine. Come up front with the others.
When this man arrived at the platform, the evangelist said sir, give me that can of chew inside your coat pocket, and let's believe God for a miracle touch of deliverance for you and the others who are standing here together. The man reached into his inside coat pocket, got the chew and threw it onto the platform. A couple of others up front followed this man and reached for their packs of cigarettes and discarded them on the platform. The man of God prayed over them and it was a glorious sight to behold.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

Hmmm? What’s the purpose in sharing this information? I mean, do we really need to know that God uses you in this manner? I’m curious about your motive in sharing? Frankly, I’m not impressed.

It’s like when introducing yourself to another, instead of telling you their name, they have to qualify it with, “my name is prophet” so and so. Total turn off.

I’m always tempted to say, ‘no, that may be your calling or office, but it’s not your name.’
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

After labeling me as "racist" in another thread you probably won't ever like or believe anything I have to say.

I do believe there are times when the Holy Spirit is teaching us to recognize His voice and confirms for us...perhaps He just wanted you to be aware of His voice and knew the situation would be dealt with without you....It always has a purpose...either to teach us or edify the body...
