oh my! He brought up the word "HELL" lol! and talked about coming out of darkness. Poor Joel was probably cringing somewhere

Now that is some good preaching with Pentecostal power! I could have jumped on that Hammond B3 and helped him out

Why would he cringe? I'm sure he'd be as excited as anyone else listening. He was probably in the audience. I dont expect preachers kids to be a replicate of them. Joel has his own style and God uses him differently than He used Pastor John. Different times, different audience. Folk need to let up off him, and pray for him if they feel he's in error.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Because he cringed when he has been asked by the media about sin, hell, judgement etc. Ever see his interview with Larry King?

Not saying he has to take on the same style of preaching or delivery as his dad, but still needs to preach the whole gospel instead of lolly pop sermons that make people feel good.

Yes, I saw the interview. That was years ago, and he has since said he should have responded differently. So you need not bring up something he has basically apologized for. Have you ever made a mistake in judgment? Or are you perfect?

Have you listened to EVERY sermon he's preached? How do you know he's not preaching the "whole Gospel?" Because if you haven't listened to ALL of his sermons, then you need to be careful about judging God's servant. You don't know how God may be using Joel Osteen in these Last Days. Need to be sure you're doing what you're called to do instead of criticizing what our fellow brother in Christ is doing.

Yeah Valiant Woman!!!! You are so RIGHT ON TARGET with your post here!!! God Bless You Sister!!! Amen!!!

#1, you are correct that he apologized for miscommunicating in the Larry King interview, and

#2, you are correct in addressing the error of someone judging and complaining about Joel's preaching when they haven't heard ALLl of his sermons.

It it very disturbing to me how many people are quick to condemn him for the Larry King interview but they ignore his apology and correction.

But I do so much appreciate the preaching, teaching ministry of Joel's dad, John Osteen!!! His books and tapes have been a delight to me! I still enjoy his preaching on You Tube!

John was a great man and would not pull back from his beliefs in front of anyone. We need more like him today.
