Exactly... and put Him first before all other options.

It actually works better when there are no other options cause you have to get serious with God quick!

Sounds like some folk got the cart before the horse... but, at least the Holy Ghost can work with people that are doing something so at least there's that.
Bro you are missing it. Part of being a child of God is to make disciples. It is not about any works. It is about being a good and faithful servant.

True discipleship involves much more than sitting in a building studying theology for years while never leading a single soul to Christ. Did you even do the courtesy of watching the posted video?

No, you are missing the very first point... 2 Corinthians 6:16 - before God walks in us (ministry to others), He desires to live IN us (ministry unto Him). God said "I will dwell in them, and walk in them" which is two different things.

The very first and foremost calling of every person is to be a child of God, living in fellowship with Him. Everything else is secondary, including ministry to others.

If we do not allow the Lord to live in us, then any ministry to others will be faulty as we will be teaching them wrongly.

You should put the horse in front of the cart... In fact, when you go out and make disciples, you should teach them what comes first which is God desires to live IN them and share Himself with them. Teach them that, and you'll get more converts.

It's not an angle... God desires for us to allow Him to live in us and fellowship with us. He desires for us to be in agreement with Him and not the world. (Amos 3:3, 2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

This is the primary purpose for God creating each of us.... as a secondary outflow of that, yes He wants to walking in us which is co-laboring with us so He can move thru us to minister to others which is not only gaining converts, but teachings others to be disciplined followers of Jesus Christ (disciples) which is done thru Romans 6:16 among others.

This is so simple you'd have to go to seminary, bible school, or idolize TV preachers to misunderstand it

So born again new creations in Christ hitting the streets to share Jesus and pray for others don't have Christ living IN them?

Or sit under a pastor or teacher for years before you are allowed to hit the streets leading others to Christ...seems you are saying that until they get 'matured' in their personal life they cannot minister Christ to others...sounds like seminary indoctrination to me..

Are you one of those pastors who believes Christians need your permission to minister to others so that you an verify their spiritual maturity?

Please show me where I said that... I didn't.

You are reading things in to this that I never said... I'm simply saying our first calling, before witnessing, ministering, before our spouse, before our church, before our pastor, before our family, before our career, before our dog, before whatever is important to any of us is... our personal relationship with the Lord, being a child of God. Period!

If anything comes before our personal relationship with the Lord... it is idolatry, and Jesus said all idolators will have their part in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8). There are preachers that have placed their ministry before their personal relationship with the Lord (they traded their first love for ministry and are ministers first before being a child of God) and they are committing idolatry... some of them are on TV and unless they get their priorities straight they will not go to Heaven!

Lets let Jesus make things a little more clear...

    Matthew 7:21,22
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

It is God's will for us to fellowship with Him first and foremost, on a close personal level... everything else is secondary. If this is not how our priorities are set before the Lord then we are not only ripe for deception but any ministry we get involved with is not going to work out very good which is how we have so many false teachers in the world today.

I'm not saying all those that go out and witness and teach others are guilty of this. However, I am saying it is really easy to put ministry and good works before your personal relationship with the Lord, to put works before your first love and many do this because satan is very willing to lead people off in to good works if that's the only way he can get them to put something... anything... before our personal relationship with the Lord.

If 'ol slewfoot can't get you in the ditch where you backslide and walk away from the Lord... he's going to make a play to get you so pre-occupied with ministry and doing good works that is becomes lusts (desire) for other things Jesus spoke of in Mark 4:14-20 to the point it chokes the Word out of your life and all one would be doing is good works like a new ager... only, attaching Jesus' name to it.

He lives IN born again believers so when they hit the streets He is also walking in them...whether saved 1 hour or 50 years...
