Someone who is an adherent to hyper grace should contact these people and let them know they are totally wasting their time teaching people to be disciples cause that is works that put people back under the law!

Don't pastors know enough about God's Word to teach this to their own congregations???

Seems like they should be doing this already, otherwise they aren't qualified to be a pastor, no?
There is a lot of teaching FT, just not much mixing of faith and doing...Pioneer school focuses on teaching AND doing. Their goal is to take people out, have them experience the power of God and have their faith in truth restored to the point they are ignited and then go and ignite others....no, this typically is not what the 'church' in America looks like...

OK, so this is more about going out and doing miracles?

It's quite possible for people to go out and do the works of Jesus and still end up in hell -

    Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So, while it's lovely to go out and witness and pray for people... is this a true disciple teaching were they are teaching people what sin is and to not only avoid living in sin but to confess and forsake their sin if/when they do sin?

    Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

    Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
(How do we obtain mercy? We go to Jesus)

    John 5:39,40
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

    1 John 1:8,9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us

There's lots of teaching out there... just curious if this is one that teaches people to accept the entire New Testament, or to pick and choose scriptures that make us feel good which is what many are teaching in the church today... cause they be drinkin the TV preacher k00L aid thinkin they got it made.

Jesus called the disciples and they hit the streets doing and learning simultaneously...Pioneer school believes in discipleship training following that model.
...yes they teach against sin, and about obedience, and tell people about Jesus, and baptize people and tell them about the Holy Spirit and encourage receiving the baptism, and then take new converts out in street ministry to immediately begin to tell others about Jesus and to pray for them expecting God to meet their need whatever that might be...

Which is more important though, which comes first... learning how to to be a Child of God giving habitation unto the Lord to live in us, walk in us, being our Lord so we learn and grow thereby???

Or, does going out witnessing to share Jesus come first?

Being a disciple is making disciples. I know folks who have spent decades learning how to be a child of God, and still aren't making disciples. The best way to learn anything is by hands on experience.

We need less theology and more obedience.

Here is an idea. Instead of just automatically knocking this, why don't you go watch a few of the pioneer school videos and then make a decision as to whether or not it is a biblical model. There are 20 lessons, and every one of them is very good.

No, it is about being a true disciple of Jesus. You know, the kind that makes more disciples.

Well said. I am reminded of one of my favorite Bill Johnson stories...will paraphrase for time.

Someone came to his office one day and said they wanted to be part of his 'mall ministry'. He told them they did not have a 'mall ministry', they had a group of people who talked and shared a desire to go to the mall and pray and minster to people...and did

Edited to add...they did not even ask for permission from the church elders...:))) that's discipleship..

OK, so you believe that doing good works comes before walking with the Lord as His child...good works cannot save you.

Being a child of God always comes before any works such as making disciples or any other good works.

In fact, if one does not allow the Lord to have habitation in their life... they are going to fail badly at making disciples or at getting people saved which has to be done before making any disciples.

Sounds like some folk got the cart before the horse... but, at least the Holy Ghost can work with people that are doing something so at least there's that.
