    A glimmer of Hope

    A glimmer of hope

I traveled down to my mom's church to preach this past Sunday. I preached the message that the Lord has put on my heart about the Holy Spirit baptism and power (I long to bring this to wherever He will open the door for me).

I wasn't sure how it would be accepted. They aren't a denominational church, but also haven't experienced this.

After singing out of their hymnals I started with a couple of songs-Holy Spirit & Good Good Father. I could feel the anointing on them.

I taught on the HS baptism, and finished with an invitation for anyone who wanted to receive. No one came forward. On a good note, no one walked out either, it seemed as if it were being soaked in. I then asked if anyone needed healing in their body to please come up. Again, no takers.

We ended the service, and one lady stopped me in the back of the sanctuary and thanked me for preaching the power of God's word to them. She then told me that she had once sang in the Spirit, and that her sister has been baptized in the Holy Spirit.

I had a cup of coffee and then got into line for some food. My mom's friend who had ridden to church with her, a woman I am guessing is in her 80s, was rubbing her shoulder in front of me. You could tell she was hurting. I asked her what happened to her shoulder and she said that it was from arthritis. I asked her if I could pray for her and she said "yes". I asked her how much it hurt on a scale of 1-10 and she said it was an 8. I laid hands on her shoulder, prayed a short prayer thanking God for her and for His great love for her and that He didn't want to see her suffer in pain. I then commanded healing in the name of Jesus and for the pain to go. She looked at me with a surprised look on her face and said "It's gone! It doesn't hurt any more!"

I prayed that afternoon and yesterday also that the testimony of God healing her would continuously roll off her lips, and that she would share with her church next Sunday what God had done.

My mom called me last night. They both live in the same senior apartments, and she said that this lady was telling everyone what God has done for her. I told my mom that this is what I was preaching about, the power of God.

I continue to pray, and hope that her testimony will help to open the door for further ministry there, where God can expand His army in a little country church in northern Michigan.

They have no pastor right now, but they do have a young man who is holding them together with song and bible study. Most of them are elderly folks.

Please pray in agreement with me that God will continue this work.

    Zeke..

I believe this is for you.

    Mark 4:21-29
    (21) And He said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
    (22) For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
    (23) If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

    (24) And He said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
    (25) For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

    (26) And He said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
    (27) And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
    (28) For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
    (29) But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

    Isaiah 55:11-13
    (11) So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
    (12) For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
    (13) Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

Wonderful testimony Zeke and in agreement with you that this work will not only continue but that the healings accelerate!

Have you gotten on facebook yet? Several of our members including Wheeze are doing street ministry and have been posting and/or videoing some great testimonies as well, it would be awesome to see you in action too. :)

No, so far I haven't went any further south than Manton. I am not real crazy about cities, being born and raised a small town country boy. I would prefer to stick to small rural churches, but wherever God opens the door I guess I will just have to adapt and overcome!

I don't have time for face book, I leave that to the Mrs. in order to keep track of all the kids and grand kids.
