I guess anything is possible, but why? He told the congregation that he died a certain way, then Jesus rebuked him. Why would he have originally changed from what he told them, and then why would he feel pressure to make them believe the revised story?

Yeah, I feel ya. The services/speakers were wonderful, but a lotta religious spirits there as well.

He could have changed his mind after studying it then found it hard to promote then decided to use the authority card for leverage. You know, "anything for the cause". That said, I dont know anything about the man.

I heard Bobby Conner teaching from Morning Star on God TV one time during their 'Honoring the Fathers' conference talking about mentioning AA Allen in a sermon someplace and basically relaying what he read from God's Generals about Allen dying drunk, etc. I don't remember the exact details, but basically he said Jesus appeared to him and said that he had lied about His servant and that Allen had died righteous before Him and that he needed to go back to that congregation and correct himself. He said Jesus also told him "he was murdered by the Christian mafia", but not sure what that means exactly.
Here is a video where he talks about it, just a couple of minutes long. This isn't the one I originally saw though, but it has more detail.
I read that the charge of alcoholism was proven false after an autopsy was performed on Allen after his death. The report stated that his liver was not that of an alcoholic and that there was a trace amount of alcohol in his system, which would line up with reports that Allen would use a little alcohol to deal with chronic pain. It wasn't that he didn't believe in going to the doctor, it was because he didn't like taking medication that made him feel "high" and unable to focus. That makes more sense to me.
And if memory serves, I thought Riordian's book vindicated Allen.

* Toxic Troll - Negative Nancy
Numerous people who worked for AA Allen's ministry reported that he would show up drunk sometimes and they would cover for him and some of his meetings were post posted due to him falling off the wagon. Search the net and you can find all kinds of stuff written by some of the old timers that worked on his staff.
Poor guy never learned to beat alcohol... it's actually easy to do if one allows the Lord to live in them. Many preachers study and learn concerning ministering to the people but don't have a close relationship with the Lord for themselves which is exactly backwards! Hopefully he confessed his sins, and repented before he croaked.
Ministering to the people should be an outflow of your own personal relationship.

What about the head guy getting down on the ground and kissing the catholic priest's feet?
That was all over the Christians news sites... that's a spirit not of the Lord Jesus Christ considering catholiks are practicing idolatry and numerous extra biblical practices.

He could have been occassionally drunk without becoming an alcoholic with a wrecked liver.
