Yeah, and some 100 years of faulty Pentecostal doctrine also (not by all Pentecostals though) that have kept people from getting filled with unscriptural teaching about speaking in tongues. Or at least false assumptions by people based on what they have heard taught. These are stumbling blocks that keep people from getting filled. They have to be taught out like any other false doctrine. Fortunately, those in the book of Acts didn't have any wrong doctrine to overcome in getting filled.

You put a lot of requirements on people in order to get the Baptism. All that is needed is for one to be saved and there are no other requirements. Now if you want to judge the salvation of others, that is up to you. But all these requirements are NOT in the Word.
Do you want to be filled with the Holy Spirit? Then the question is are you born again? If you are, then let us pray and ask God to fill. Believe me, HE WILL!

And what are the 'lot of requirements' is it I put on people? I'm curious to know since you seem to know.

The only thing that keeps people from getting filled is if they are not saved. Salvation is the only requirement for the Baptism!

Who, out there, is seeing people filled with the Spirit?
Is there an exceptional book, teaching...that you have seen?
Yes, sometime back someone recommended 'The Two Sides of a Coin' by Charles and Frances Hunter. I have to say I enjoyed this very much as it was more of a testimony of their journey from NOT believing to the point of vehement rejection to the actual experience..180 degrees. The beautiful thing was that through their journey in the book they share scriptural revelation and the central thread throughout was their humble sincere desire to JUST know and have all that God wanted for them. So with their heart centered God led them from unbelief to belief to experiencing the Holy Spirit infilling with the evidence of tongues.

When you ask Christians that question they will ALL say, 'I already AM'. And yet those of us who experienced the Pentecost experience know better...that's where he teaching has to come in..

Ah...no....faith is the additional requirement. That's why wonderful saved people are not FILLED..
Dr. Stanley said once that he prayed that IF it was God's will, fill him and have him speak in tongues, and because God didn't it must not be for him...absolutely NO faith in that request and no manifestation..and I am pretty sure he is saved. :)
Nikos, you do recognize the call and ministry of TEACHING don't you?

I'm sure thousands of people have prayed "if it is your will today then let me speak in tongues like in the Bible" before Azusa street. Or even just "give me tongues now" or similar. And then nothing happened. Being assertive is not the same as praying in faith.
Faith can however come about in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Some times people just receive the Spirit in the tangible presence of the Spirit, they connect naturally to him, relating to him in faith there and then. I've seen this happen many, many times. Some times without any teaching on "the baptism in the Spirit", the fact that they had heard of the phenomenon of speaking in tongues was sufficient. But without faith, it doesn't work.
