The name sounds familiar. When I first got saved in '77 I used to listen to Christian preaching/teaching radio all the time at work for several years. I would probably recognize his voice if I heard it.

I remember him. Late at night I think we heard him on XERF Del Rio, Texas aka ekes e ere efe en Ciudad Acuna (ya), Coahilla, Mexico! That is my phonetic Spanish spelling!
"That's David Epley, e-p-l-e-y,..."
You seem to have caught me in a quirky mood today.

Yes. Curly Sue posted the spelling thing. That's what I remember. He spelled his name on just about every broadcast.
That brings to mind some of the other oldies I listened to. Kathryn Kuhlman, someone named Springer, someone who always introduced himself by saying he was a paleontologist. And one guy always used to say, "Okay, we're going into the throne room now. We'll close the door behind us..." and then we'd hear the slam of a door. I wish I could remember his name.

Charles W. Burpo went into the throne room.
Curtis Springer was in Zzyzx Springs in the Mojave Desert.
I think both men were on our local am station. KBYE.

Yes, those are the ones! What a memory. I used to hear them on KFAX out of Oakland, CA.
