He was one of my instructors at Rhema '79-'80. The year I left they let him and a few others go over 'your spirit is perfect' doctrine. I really loved to hear him teach. Listened to him a lot when I was first saved for a few years. He will always look weird without a mustache though.

I miss those days more than I should, such great growth, teaching, miracles. I almost miss the days baptists thought we were heretics. Good stuff, good to hear him again.

I won't mention any names but I'm pretty sure many still think that.

A few years back I told my elders board that they shouldn't place high expectations on my getting together with our town's indie baptist pastor. I said "they don't like my kind". One elder answered "baptists don't like anybody".

What is "your spirit is perfect" doctrine?

Something along the lines of your spirit it perfect, needs no development, already has all understanding and doesn't need to be taught. Don't remember all the details. Something along those lines. I mean a lot of people may believe that way now. I don't know if he still believes that way or not.
