Bill Gates is now the largest farmland owner in America

-Bill Gates may no longer be the world's richest man, but he can claim a new title: America's farmland king.

The billionaire Microsoft co-founder has become the largest owner of farmland in the United States by quietly buying up massive plots across the county, a new report says.

Gates' portfolio comprises about 242,000 acres of farmland and nearly 27,000 acres of other land across 19 states, according to The Land Report, a magazine for land investors that tracks the nation's biggest landowners...

It's uncertain why Gates has invested in so much farmland or how his tracts are currently being used. Cascade did not immediately respond to a phone message Friday, and the company declined to comment to The Land Report "other than to say that Cascade is very supportive of sustainable farming," the outlet said...

I read China owns a lot too. Which always made me wonder. If them farms sold the grain getting it into the economy needs and such. Which would get things in the trade market with other nations. But what if they by pass that and ship the grain (mainly soybeans) directly back to China.

It's all part of the depopulation plan.

Buy up land. Control food supply. Use lots of poisonous sprays. Create lots of cancer. Treat cancer for millions$$$ profit. People die anyways. Create food shortages.

It's all in the NWO plan.

China has been buying up Canadian land for some time.

I started reading a book about Soviet cooking. Interestingly, the author talks about bread shortages, and food shortages in general. Their food was tightly controlled (bread, kielbasa, and poor food generally) while the elites enjoyed better food, fresh produce, etc. The author and her mother emigrated to the U.S. in the late 70s. I just started the book, but the description of the lack of food choices was scary.

I think most that lived in that era have forgotten what Russia did to their own people in neglect. We studied this in high school. The course was called "comparative government" and I took the semester course as a 9th grader. I loved the teacher, an ROTC grad.

Russia's basic lifestyle was summed up in a phrase, "guns before butter".

I wonder what they mean by farmland. I know Ted Turner was the largest land holder in the US and maybe the world at one time. He and another guy were always battling it out.

China needs to be completely shut out of America! We need to cut ALL ties with them. Walmart will have to do a hard re-boot and sell more expensive goods, but we can adjust.

Of course, this will never happen during a Democrat let white house. Trump was making strides in the right direction.

No vehicles would be able to be manufactured for at least 5 years. That's scary. And no repairing of vehicles because those spare parts are also made overseas. I know this because DH is in this industry and his company has been grappling with this since last year when the tariffs started. And there's also start-up capital which is a problem in this economy.

Forging: I think there are 2 or 3 forgers left in the U.S. Almost all of our forgings come from overseas... think about brake drums, rims, knuckles, valving, etc. The U.S. was happy to send it overseas because the forging process creates an EPA nightmare.

I hear you on returning these items to America. Everyone was upset about Trump's tariffs on goods from China. But it is making manufacturers look at making products here. Unfortunately, start up will take 4-5 years at best. We also have a lack of tradespeople: millwrights, machinists, toolmakers. We have indoctrinated kids that they have to go to college and get a degree, while ignorning the need for people who work with their hands.

Chew on this in light of Bill Gate's purchases:

Stalinist policies radically altered much of the Soviet Union's agricultural production, modernising it by introducing tractors and other machinery, forced collectivisation of the farms and forced collection of grains from the peasants in accordance with predecided targets. There was food available for industrial workers, but those peasants who refused to move starved, especially in Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) targeted kulaks, who owned a little land.

You can avoid unexpected and expensive repair costs with an extended service plan for your Lexus. Many vehicle repairs can cost thousands of dollars in unexpected expense, now may be the time to consider an extended service plan for your vehicle.
