Ammo Shortage Fueled By Troubling Year

Interesting perspective by Guns and Ammo Magazine quoting 7 million first time gun owners in 2020. The ammo shortage is exacerbated by hoarders (for profit that adore panic buying) but also such things as shipping supplies i.e. boxing tape.

I have watched the MCRGO site saying the numbers of handgunners needing CPL training here in Michigan is off the charts. A local gunshop friend told me they don't have enough time or instructors to keep up with the training schedule demands.

When I first started carrying it was a rush of responsibility. In the past year I've learned to chill and enjoy it. Walmart says "no open carry" but they aren't posting "no firearms" signs so i carry. My carry is a 1911 style 45 auto fullsize. I can do well in concealing it even under a short sleeve button down shirt in summer. Anymore, I don't care if a trained eye can tell or not. Usually it's another carry that can tell. I had a lady staring at my right side but I caught her at it and grinned. Carry. In the days ahead, you won't want to need it and not have it.

I was just reading a story today that I can't find about a carrying citizen who killed someone trying to rob a store. The point is you NEVER know when something is going to happen. And yes, it can be dangerous anywhere you go these days.

    You don't.

ยง 1047.7 Use of deadly force. (a) Deadly force means that force which a reasonable person would consider likely to cause death or serious bodily harm. Its use may be justified only under conditions of extreme necessity, when all lesser means have failed or cannot reasonably be employed.
