Los Angeles Closed - 10 Million People Told to Stay Home
LA residents are ordered to stay in their homes: Mayor Garcetti tells 4million citizens to remain indoors, restricts travel, closes non-essential businesses and says it's 'time to cancel everything' as hospitalizations and cases surge.
Los Angeles residents are ordered to stay in their homes effective immediately as Mayor Eric Garcetti banned all travel including walking, closed non-essential businesses and threatened to arrest anyone breaking the new lockdown rules as coronavirus cases and hospitalizations surge.
The city, where 4 million residents live, was told the new move was 'necessary for the protection of life and property in the City of Los Angeles'.
Garcetti urged residents to 'cancel everything'. He said no one should be hosting gatherings or going to gatherings.
Los Angeles County, the nation's largest with about 10 million residents, recorded its highest daily total of cases Tuesday with more than 7,500 and on Wednesday fell just shy of 6,000, still one of the highest to date.

This is so unnecessary IMO. 98% of the people getting Covid are recovering just fine.
I am hearing that our wonderful Governor is about to do this to all of CA. In fact, if you arrive from anywhere more than 150 miles into the SF metro area, you are suppose to quarantine for 14 days. How do they propose to do that? So, all the truckers will have to quarantine? Everyone who steps off a plane? Tourist? People driving in for work?
So, we can pack out a Costco, but the small businesses have to close? You can buy flowers at a crowded Costco, but the local florist has to shut down? Tell me what I am missing.

They are shutting us down up here in the Bay Area starting Sunday and it will last til January 4. A lot of very angry small business owners and people in general here.
Of course we have those who are brainwashed too, and ready to line up for their vaccinations
