Did you notice the content of the verse that I quoted ? It said something more than "do not judge".

It said "do not judge according to appearances". What does that mean to you ?

Well the word translated "appearances" occurs only in Jn 7:24, Jn 11:44 where it is translated face and Rev 1:16 where it is translated countenance (all KJV translations).

It is elsewhere translated in Jn 7:24 as "outward appearances" (HCSB) or "external appearance" (NET).

James said "you pay special attention to the one who is wearing the fine clothes, and say, "You sit here in a good place," and you say to the poor man, "You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,""

Paul said "God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe"

    It's like "Don't judge a book by it's cover" isn't it? That's how I see it.

What qualifies you for judging the mentioned actions and statements of Kat Kerr except by "outward appearances" ?

You mean the colour of her hair, because that's the sort of thing it's talking about?

But I jest, you mean what she says and her actions. How they line up with the Bible maybe? Would that be OK?

You need to understand what she's trying to do before you are able to judge her, including according to the Bible.

I could tell you, based on the Bible, to "have nothing to do with" John MacArthur, based on the fact that he "has a form of godliness but denies its power". How about that ?

We recently has plumbing problems. If someone from an IT help desk arrived to fix it I would not first try understand what he was trying to do before rejecting his help.

the gospel ... is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, (Rom 1:16).

The power of God saves people who are dead in their sin having no interest in God let alone the ability in themselves to do anything about it. JMac doesn't deny that.

But someone who goes out claiming that demons cause hurricanes and that they can stop the hurricane by rebuking them, and then has to delay doing it because it's too hot and the need to find shade, and of course they fail, and she tells kids that she's been to heaven and there are T-Rex's there and theme parks with a huge roller coaster and that pets got to heaven and that there is sport in heaven and "Each team has a place on the scoreboard, but all the points go to Jesus". Come on Colonel, do you really "need to understand what she's trying to do" before saying "Na!"?

The arguments you apply in each case can easily be applied to the other individual discussed. You're demonstrating your ability to be infinitely clever and also your ability to say nothing useful.

    I quoted this verse :

1 Cor 4:19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.

He's referring to the power of the "super-apostles", not the power intrinsic to the gospel.
