UN food agency chief: World on brink of 'a hunger pandemic'
This is what I posted on FB, along with the CTV link. I'm in contact with a ministry in Pakistan.

"I have a friend in Pakistan who says people are literally starving to death because of the lock downs. People who were barely surviving on day work now have nothing to buy food for their families. He told me of one mother who poisoned her 3 children and then committed suicide because it was better than watching her children starve. We may be having a hard time here in North America but I don't think we're yet facing the kind of starvation that some nations are facing. This is serious, folks."

And while I don't put a whole lot of confidence in the UN, they are right about this one.

I agree, they implement the same measures or worse in countries where there are very few cases and where the result is far more devastating to the economy. The poorer countries seem to simply follow the lead of the richer countries and the global organizations like WHO. That's fear because it's based on a worst case scenario that is extremely unlikely to happen, where the result of the pandemic itself is worse than from the measures they are taking.

Here's the daily death chart for Stockholm county. That's the capital of Sweden and it has about 2.35 million inhabitants.

It peaks out at about 40 per million per day, similar to the state of New York.

A recent poll indicates that 3 out of 4 Swedes want more restrictions, more than what is current government policy.
