Unfortunately that doesn't necessarily transfer into being born again. A lot of people with that core belief are in hell. Of course I'm not saying Kobe is. We have no way of knowing. Hopefully he did receive Jesus at some point.

Yes, "our Lady of Angels" is a quite common Catholic church name or some variation thereof, "our Lady of something or other".
I made my first communion in a Catholic church named "Christ the King".
We have the "our lady of the lakes" church names here in Michigan. Queen of Heaven, Queen ad nauseum.
