I worked with Bob, I know the few folks making these systems at the time were at war with each other, there were a lot of flame wars in various forums. It got a little crazy but I wasn't involved in any of that. They really hurt each other by trading charges of fraud in public, which I think cast the technology in a bad light, the general consumer probably wrote it off after reading some of the junk floating around. Had they just stuck to building systems...

problematic. But large diesel engines (specifically Cummins) a good fit.

I have a small hydrogen generator that I made. A 1 liter bottle full makes a huge bang!

Hydrogen gas is released from batteries during charging and also were deadly in WWII subs when seas water flooded battery storage areas. Back in teen years my buddy had a '64 Riviera. One winter day he slammed the hood shut and heard an explosion. Yup, his battery top was shattered exposing internal lead plates. Just like that, BANG. And it was gone. you

Furthermore, Boyce says that Potchen never licensed the technology from him, and that he has no right to be selling the device, which still includes some of Boyce's exclusive intellectual property.
It was while Boyce was at Potchen's facility in early April, 2009 that Boyce first noticed what turned out to be a VeriChip implanted in his right shoulder without his permission or knowledge, which turned out to spur the formation of a tumor there, which then metastasized into what Boyce's doctors called a "terminal cancer." Potchen is former military intelligence, and would thus likely have the ability and access to inject and track such an implant.
It would seem that Potchen's actions are not merely a function of incompetence but of willful sabotage. In either case, he has been giving the industry a bad name by selling a lemon product, and he needs to be brought to justice.

I vaguely remember back in the very early 1980s (somewhere around 1982 I think) about inventors of a car fueled primarily by steam. They had it in the news a couple of times and then never heard about it again.

I think you are right. My understanding when working with these guys is that the technology definitely works. Firebrand asked earlier about automobiles and what the deal there is that the builders of these systems couldn't get it right due to the black-box nature of the ECM modules, the computer that controls air, fuel, ignition, timing, etc. , the auto manufacturers wouldn't share any of that. I think they spent more time trying to reverse engineer the ECMs than they did on the hydrogen cells. That is also why they sold primarily to Cummins engine owners, apparently they had that one figured out.
The auto makers probably don't like it because with zero emissions, no carbon build up, etc, you could probably get 800-900 hundred thousand miles on an engine before it went out.
