-When someone shows you who they are, believe them..so when CNN President Jeff Zucker admits that CNN journalists do not do investigative work, people should believe it.
CNN hosts and reporters pushed the President Trump-Russia collusion line for years, but Special Counsel Robert Mueller's final report clears the president of any such conduct, according to Attorney General William Barr's summary.
The network had seemingly wagered their credibility on this investigation and had banked their reputation on Trump being convicted of anything, but he wasn't. So, now what?
According to CNN's Brian Stelter, Zucker said CNN journalists were reporting the facts as they were presented—without verifying whether any of the claims had merit.
"We are not investigators. We are journalists, and our role is to report the facts as we know them, which is exactly what we did," Zucker said, Stelter revealed in a tweet.
"What an admission," tweeted conservative filmmaker Mike Cernovich.
