'THE SMOKING GUN': Google Manipulated YouTube Search Results for Abortion, Maxine Waters, David Hogg
'THE SMOKING GUN': Google Manipulated YouTube Search Results for Abortion, Maxine Waters, David Hogg
In sworn testimony, Google CEO Sundar Pichai told Congress last month that his company does not "manually intervene" on any particular search result. Yet an internal discussion thread leaked to Breitbart News reveals Google regularly intervenes in search results on its YouTube video platform – including a recent intervention that pushed pro-life videos out of the top ten search results for "abortion."

I have been using duckduckgo.com though I am starting to read some disturbing things about them, such as they use the Google search results engine but weed out the restrictions on results that Google does.

The guy is a well versed liar. Of course no one is going to intervene when you do a search, that is all controlled by the algorithm which is heavily manipulated.
I was forced into learning computers when I discovered that every tech person I relied upon for business process was a LIAR. I think that must be the first course they teach, how to get over on the unsuspecting!
Google CEO Sundar Pichai also said that they have no plans to "launch" a chinese search engine when he was asked if they helped the chinese build one. So yes, they haven't launched it yet but they have built it to chinese specs, surveillance, censorship, etc. Silicon valley is awful.
Google’s secret prototype search engine for China reportedly links users’ mobile phone numbers to what search terms they’ve used.
This feature would allow the Chinese government to simply associate searches with individuals, thereby putting Chinese citizens at increased risk of government repression if they search for topics that their government deems politically sensitive, according to the Intercept.

There is indeed a lot of evil within the tech world. Somewhat in line with George Orwell's dystopian fiction, "1984" (except Orwell was about 30 years off the mark).

duckduckgo is what I would call a meta engine they collate results from several sources and serve it back to you.
Yandex is one of several sources we use for our results (see
https://duck.co/help/results/sources … ), but we don't collect or share any personal information with them, in line with our privacy policy:

I know they use yahoo!/bing for ad delivery, that's about as bad as it gets, they don't display ads without checking your underwear and of course they drop all kinds of cookies so duckduck is IMHO another tech liar, kinda sorta saying something but it is all misleading.

Yeah, but it seems he had some prophetic insight or something because if I remember correctly it was written in like 1939.

‘Disrespectful’: Google Employees Melt Down Over The Word ‘Family’
A Google executive sparked a fierce backlash from employees by using the word “family” in a weekly, company-wide presentation, according to internal documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Many Google employees became angry that the term was used while discussing a product aimed at children, because it implied that families have children, the documents show. The backlash grew large enough that a Google vice president addressed the controversy and solicited feedback on how the company could become more inclusive.
TheDCNF received the documents from a source who insisted upon anonymity in order to share them. (RELATED: Google Employees Debated Burying Conservative Media In Search)
One employee stormed out of the March 2017 presentation after a presenter “continued to show (awesome) Unicorn product features which continually use the word ‘family’ as a synonym for ‘household with children,'” he explained in an internal thread. That employee posted an extended rant, which was well-received by his colleagues, on why linking families to children is “offensive, inappropriate, homophobic, and wrong.”
and...
Google vice president Pavni Diwanji joined the conversation and acknowledged that use of the term “family” had sparked “concerns.”
