California governor signs 'right to die' bill
(CNN)As California Gov. Jerry Brown pointed out Monday, ABX2 15 is not just any other piece of legislation: By definition, it's a matter of life and death.
"The crux of the matter is whether the state of California should continue to make it a crime for a dying person to end his life," Brown said, "no matter how great his pain and suffering."
The governor made his perspective clear -- and made ABX2 15, which is also called the "End of Life Option Act," a statewide law -- when he signed the controversial legislation Monday.
Until then, Brown hadn't indicated where he stood on the issue. Until he explained that his decision was personal, based on his reflections "on what I would want in the face of my own death."
"I do not know what I would do if I were dying in prolonged and excruciating pain," he wrote in a letter addressed to state lawmakers. "I am certain, however, that it would be a comfort to be able to consider the options afforded by this bill.
"And I wouldn't deny that right to others..."

People already have the right to commit suicide...and there are many ways to do it painlessly...why does the government have to give it a stamp of approval? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr

Any person can end their life at any time any time they want unless they're incapacitated.

Surprise surprise! most everyone in the Bay Area thinks this is awesome.
I do understand some of it from a natural human side. Who wants to waste away in agony? It's very heart breaking to watch loved ones in this condition.
But, I look at places like Belgium and see where this all leads. It wont end with this IMO. People will be pressured into dying for just being in the way

Faith and trust is not easily maintained when one is dying a slow agonizing death from untreated cancer.

The same argument can be applied in favor of aborting babies who will live their (probably relatively short) lives in the same state.

That does not change the fact that it is expected by our LORD who is more than able and willing to supply all our needs.
We must build our hosue of faith before the storms so when they come, whatever they are, we are prepared..
We must NOT let the world's philosophy supply us with their PLAN B..
