Justin Bieber Wants to "Live Like Jesus." He Tells His Salvation Story

-In recent years, Justin Bieber’s track record has included everything from public urination charges to confiscated monkey scandals. He’s been arrested for drag-racing a red Ferrari in his yellow Lamborghini while intoxicated—and with an expired license. Need we go on? His bad boy image doesn’t need any help.

While the pop star’s high profile troubles surely make for an interesting story, it’s not the one we’re interested in. Now, he’s got a new message for you.

Though he’s been trying to publicly reboot his image for a while now, he’s only recently released the source of his recent redemption: Christianity.

He’s ready to take off the mask and show the world who he really is…and who he wants to be like.

I just wanna honestly live like Jesus,” said Bieber in an interview with Complex.

However, he affirms that religion is not the answer: “I’m not religious. I, personally, love Jesus and that was my salvation. I want to share what I’m going through and what I’m feeling and I think it shouldn’t be ostracized,” he said.

Bieber is tired of the religious box that society has placed God in. He told Complex, “I think that with Christians, they’ve left such a bad taste in people’s mouths. Just like, overly pushy with the subject, overly churchy and religious.” Instead he wants to unleash to the world what he believes to be true Christianity, and he’s not being quiet about.

“My voice, I’m not gonna let it not be heard anymore. I’m gonna use my voice for a reason. I think that people, as soon as they start hearing me saying I’m a Christian, they’re like, “Whoa Justin, back up, take a step back.” Also, I do not want to shove this down anyone’s throat. I just wanna honestly live like Jesus...

Justin concerns me because when he is touring there doesn't seem to be anyone keeping him accountable. Everyone is on his payroll, so who will correct him.
Currently he is down here and already there are some negative reports...maybe they are blown up by the media but when I read there are parties happening with models invited it doesn't look good.

He needs to be discipled and that means learning discipline

He has a prayin' mama and her whole church behind him. He's turned around this far, he'll keep moving forward. His mom has a fantastic testimony on how she was loved into the kingdom.

Women, a lot of pot and a bunch of codeine which is a drug that is a similar to morphine, a type of opiate. That is what it has been in the time between when he used to refer to himself as a Christian and now.

My question when someone says religion put God in a box is what BOX are you referring to?

So many use that phrase and begin to formulate what THEIR God should look like rather than allowing the Bible and the Holy Spirit to REVEAL Him..

I hope he finds the right path and does not follow the 'Ophra' religion..

It's a bit similar to when you talk about referring to yourself as a "Christ follower" rather than a "Christian", don't you think ?

It can be...depends on where he is coming from...it can also be that he embraces a 'culturally and PC 'God'..not sure where he is coming from but I did not read the last part of the article...
