    'Predator Priests'

The report cites 301 priests, clergy and lay teachers with credible allegations against them. There are 99 in the Diocese of Pittsburgh alone.

Of those 99, a group of four groomed and violently sexually assaulted young boys, said Shapiro.

"One boy was forced to stand on a bed in a rectory, strip naked and pose as Christ on the cross for the priests. They took photos of their victim, adding them to a collection of child pornography which they produced and shared on church grounds," Shapiro said.

Disgusting...they need to prosecute anyone who tried to cover up or mitigate the crimes these 'priests' performed no matter how high up it goes.

I seem to recall reading that EVERY SINGLE case is beyond the statute of limitations.

There should be no statute of limitation when a child is injured. If you watched "The Keepers" on Netflix, the grooming these predators do make it almost impossible for the child to talk about it.

I find it odd/sickening that every time an "institution" is involved, the law doesn't matter. If it wasn't the statute of limitations it would have been something else, obviously someone let the clock run out on this one.

Vatican Breaks Its Silence on 'Horrible Crimes' in Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report

By Evie Fordham Published on August 17, 2018

The Vatican has issued a response Thursday to the "horrible crimes" detailed in a Pennsylvania grand jury report released Tuesday revealing decades of sexual abuse by 300 "predator priests" in six dioceses.

"Regarding the report made public in Pennsylvania this week, there are two words that can express the feelings faced with these horrible crimes: shame and sorrow," Vatican spokesperson Greg Burke said according to CNN.

"Victims should know that the Pope is on their side," Burke added. "Those who have suffered are his priority, and the Church wants to listen to them to root out this tragic horror that destroys the lives of the innocent."

U.S. Catholic bishops created policies to remove abusive clergy and involve law enforcement in 2002, and Burke pointed out that a large portion of the accusations in the grand jury report happened prior to the policies."

"By finding almost no cases after 2002, the Grand Jury's conclusions are consistent with previous studies showing that Catholic Church reforms in the United States drastically reduced the incidence of clergy child abuse," Burke said according to CNN.

Compiling the grand jury report was a two-year process. The report found that Catholic clergy covered up the sexual abuse of more than 1,000 children over 70 years.

"The Holy See treats with great seriousness the work of the Investigating Grand Jury of Pennsylvania and the lengthy Interim Report it has produced," Burke said according to CNN. "The Holy See condemns unequivocally the sexual abuse of minors."

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

The notion that this is limited to Pennsylvania and that everything is hunky dory after 2002 is false.

The abuse is institutional, still ongoing.

    A priest blog..

From the Pastor: Why Don’t the Priests Blow the Whistle?

One question that was asked after last week’s homily was, “Why don’t ‘good’ priests and ‘good’ bishops blow the whistle on the abusive priests and bishops?” Many people still don’t (I believe most priests still don’t) understand just how evil the active homosexual or homosexual activist (AH/HA from here on out) priests and bishops are. Not understanding the extent of their depravity and wrongly thinking that they are simply “normal” men who just struggle with their sexual desires and sometimes might fail to remain chaste but are really, truly repentant when it happens and strive to “confess my sins, do penance and amend my life, amen”, they cannot possibly grasp the hellish depths to which the AH/HA clergy will go to persecute, lambaste, punish, humiliate and blackmail anyone who stands in their way or threatens their way of life.

Watch it there. You know the homosexuals say pedophiles aren't homosexuals. It makes them look bad.

I guess the PC term is "Lavender mafia".

While a continual perpetuation of this sin is most greatly desired by the AH/HA bishop, even one “close call” is enough for a lifetime of blackmail. The AH/HA bishop will do the same with a formerly active (before his conversion to Catholicism, let us say) heterosexual priest who bucks the Lavender Mafia, though he would instead be assigned as chaplain of the girls’ High School or University for the same purposes, and “seducers” would be sent to tempt him. Think this is far fetched? Don’t be fooled.
