Sarah Sanders kicked out of restaurant because she works for Donald Trump

-White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was kicked out of a Virginia restaurant because she works for Donald Trump, becoming the latest administration official to be singled out for their support of the president.

Ms Sanders said that she was asked to leave by the owner of the Red Hen, in Lexington, on Friday night and she “politely left”. The senior Trump official said that the owner’s actions “say far more about her than they do about me”.

The owner of the restaurant, Stephanie Wilkinson, said that she had told Ms Sanders her establishment "has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation"

“I’m not a huge fan of confrontation,” Ms Wilkinson told The Washington Post. “This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals...”

A standard to uphold? What an outright bald-faced whopper of a lie. The hatred is getting thick.

If it was a gay person they would be prosecuted but its ok to discriminate and hate on conservatives

It needs to be said loud and clear ...the biggest haters are quite clearly on the Democrat side and since I do not live in the US I feel I can say this with more impartiality than most

Yes there is hate on the other side but the Dems have taken it to a new level

Can you imagine the outcry if it had been a conservative owner asking a liberal patron that supported Obama to leave? 24 hour liberal news coverage and condemnation for at least a week.

In liberal-land, it's always somebody's own "personal feelings" that are the greater issue and are more important and carry more weight than anyone's true religious convictions (especially Christian).

...People are already comparing the incident to the Christian bakery who was recently granted the right to refuse service to a gay couple over their religious beliefs. Liberals have suggested that conservatives have no right to have a problem with Sanders' ejection, while conservatives are noting that liberals who had been fighting against exclusionary business practices are suddenly OK with Sanders being excluded.

Either way, the Red Hen now gets to deal with the fallout over a few offended employees who couldn't put their personal feelings aside to do their job. ...

Well, if you're gonna do something like this you better be prepared to accept the consequences. Apparently she didn't have the forethought to think through what the ramifications might be of not being 'tolerant' of another person's beliefs like they preach conservatives are supposed to do.

    From USA Today:

Red Hen's LGBT employees should have made sure Sarah Huckabee Sanders got served

The LGBT community understands bias and has pleaded for tolerance. How could the Red Hen's LGBT employees lobby to eject Sarah Huckabee Sanders?

When Sarah Huckabee Sanders walked into the Red Hen restaurant in western Virginia, it is a safe bet she just wanted to enjoy a meal. She was in America's heartland and wanted what everyone else did that evening at the Red Hen — a farm to table dinner. What Sanders received, however, is a stark reminder that half a century later America is still asking who has a seat at the lunch counter, and the dinner table.

"I would have done the same thing again," co-owner Stephanie Wilkerson told The Washington Post in defending her decision to kick Sanders out of her restaurant. Was the president's press secretary rowdy or disruptive? Was she on a drunken rampage? Had she been rude to the Red Hen's staff? Nope. Sanders' only crime was that she worked in the White House for President Donald Trump.

"We just felt that there are moments in time when people need to live their convictions," Wilkerson explained. "This appeared to be one."

Rights for LGBT but not Sanders?

Wilkerson said her decision to deny Sanders service was due, in part, to the fact that the Red Hen employs members of the LGBT community. These employees were upset that Sanders had previously defended Trump's decision to ban transgender citizens from the military.

The irony is just too much.

For decades Americans have been lectured to about the treatment of the LGBT community. Bakers, innkeepers, wedding planners have all been exiled because they have refused service to same-sex couples. In 21st century America, the idea that people would be denied service because of who they are or what they think is antithetical to a free society.

Understanding the bias in arbitrary denial of services, how could gay employees lobby for the ejection of Sanders? For decades LGBT folks had been denied service and have pleaded for tolerance. Now they had the opportunity to be the bigger person and show that, in America, political foes can break bread rather serve up a cold dish of revenge. The Red Hen, and its gay employees, passed on that opportunity and showed the nation that pettiness trumps principle.

The decision to discriminate rather than dish up is what is at the heart of the Red Hen cluckfest. Whereas Martin Luther King, Jr. argued that "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere," Wilkerson and the Red Hen modified that by adding, "unless the injustice is directed to supporters and employees of President Donald Trump." This is not only wrong; it is a logic that cannot stand in a time when egalitarian notions rule the roost.

As prejudicial as the Christian baker

If Wilkerson is able to use her convictions — which included a perceived mistreatment of the LGBT community — as a justification to deny service, Christians should be able to, without LGBT objection, use their deeply held religious convictions to do the same. Wilkerson's views would get her a standing ovation at the Tony Awards and a shout-out from Robert De Niro. But that doesn't make those views any less prejudicial than those of a Christian baker unwilling to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding.

As a nation, we have a choice: Do we allow people to deny service based upon convictions, or require that everyone gets a seat at the table? We must either stand up to defend the right of all people — even those we disagree with — to enjoy a public service or we must let service providers decide who they will serve.

Along with riots and destruction. As to the comparison with the Christian bakers, there is no comparison. No one mentioned politics in any form or asked any employee to do anything other than serve a meal.

...and what did was not only extremely hateful it was illegal too:
