2. I absolutely does affect us but we have to trust the President to make the right decision.

From what I sense in my gut, the chemical attack on Syria was a Russian response our recent sanctions and removal of their ambassadors and closing 2 embassies. Even if ASSAD carried it out, IMHO he would have done it on Putin's command. The President may need to deal very strongly with Putin instead of dealing with Syria directly..
In theory. Not so much under Obama.
Defending Israel was used as political cover for Iraq/Afghanistan/Libya, I think many were deceived. I have no doubt there is a neo-con spirit in the hierarchy of Charismatic circles, selling war. Israel was not served by those adventures.
