Angela Lansbury: Women to blame for sexual harassment
    http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...tcmp=obnetwork

Legendary actress Angela Lansbury said Monday that women are partly to blame for being subjected to sexual harassment.

The 92-year-old "Murder, She Wrote" star insisted that women who go "out of their way to make themselves attractive" must take some responsibility when men prey on them, in an interview with Britain's Radio Times.

"We must sometimes take blame, women," Lansbury said.

"We have to own up to the fact that women, since time immemorial, have gone out of their way to make themselves attractive."

Consider her age..she's from a time period where women were made to feel like they "asked for it"

I just saw an old movie last night with her in it.

I agree that men should never harrass or (God forbid) rape a woman. But I still agree with her at least on the fact that many women dress a certain way to draw attention to themselves. Some types of dress is meant to entice men to want them. Many women want to be wanted without some of the other stuff that comes up when they provoke a man's sexual appetite.

A woman can look beautiful without having to dress in a way that leaves little to the imagination.

It depends on culture too. To some muslim men a woman who shows her hair is provoking their sexual appetite. To them a woman's hands and her face or parts of it are okay, the rest is all part of the same naked body.

Agreed but what I am referring to is women dressing with the express intent of drawing attention to themselves and stirring up men. In some countries in Africa a naked breast is meaningless to a man. A women can feed her baby breast milk on the bus in Zambia in front of many men and none of them would care. But then again, she is not intentionally trying to provoke attention from them. Here in the USA some women where dresses that are intended to show a lot of cleavage. Others are wearing clothes intended to show their full figure and to accentuate their nice butt. But "dare to stare" and you could be charged with sexual harassment.

It is wrong for any man to harass or inappropriately touch a woman but I would also encourage women to stop provoking it putting themselves in situations where men who do not know how to control their lust will act on it.

I agree. When a woman acts inappropriately in dress or attitude and gets a response that is inappropriate, it is hypocritical to then complain about it. To think one can dress or behave foolishly then be angry if there is a male response makes women appear stupid.

I agree...but I've also seen women with dresses on down to their ankles, hair in a bun and no makeup on, still operating out of a lustful and fleshly spirit.

Again, not disagreeing or arguing, but just presenting the other ditch

I see some of the most ridiculously flimsy clothing on women sometimes, especially in summer. I just wonder what is going on in their heads.
