"Canada has strict gun control laws and we don't get mass shootings. So maybe the problem is with the person, but gun control keeps them from killing people. Australia and the UK have proven the same. And we consume your media and we're less religious, so your "moral values" argument doesn't seem to hold.

we all scratch our heads at why the US continues to be the only advanced economy that still wrestles with "not knowing the answer" when we solved these problems decades ago"
They haven't solved nothing. As soon as ISIS is finished setting up house, that so-called problem they think they solved will rear its ugly head. And we'll see how their "strict gun control" helps them.

Oh, my gosh, FO ... I said the exact same thing to Rog. What a coward (I'm sure there are stronger words) to kill so many people and THEN kill yourself. Absolutely sickening.

Believe me, just because we have the gun laws, doesn't mean that ALL Canadians were anywhere close to agreeing with it. The law-abiding gun owners were treated like criminals if they didn't comply and register their guns. For the most part, Canadians were against gun control laws as they were pushed through by the Liberal Gov't in power at the time. And there it is. The Liberal Party of Canada.
Just a couple days ago, an RCMP officer was shot and killed in the line of duty. The criminals still get their guns "somewhere."

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
There about 500 million privately owned firearms in the U.S.
Good luck getting them!
