In what way? I remember soooo many people coming back to the church in the weeks after it happened. Businesses even had their flags waving with their billboards boldly proclaiming God Bless America....the 'politically correct' stuff was no where to be found.

One thing is clear (to me): 9/11 was used to drum up support for actions that:
a) had nothing to do with 9/11, and
b) were on certain people's "wish list" even before 9/11 occurred.
